What Accura Defender covers
Every AccuraTax package includes Accura Defender at no extra charge. If you receive a notice or get selected for an audit, we represent you — reviewing the correspondence, preparing the response, and communicating with the IRS or state agency on your behalf.
IRS notices
We review the notice, determine what triggered it, and respond on your behalf. Most notices are resolved without you having to contact the IRS directly.
State agency notices
State tax agencies send notices too. We handle correspondence from any state where you file.
Audit representation
If you're selected for an audit, we represent you through the process — gathering documentation, preparing responses, and communicating with the examiner.
Returns we prepared
Accura Defender covers returns we prepared. If a prior-year return from another preparer is under review, we'll let you know what's involved.
Why it matters
